The Brief

Over the past 30 years, national charity Motability has helped over three million people get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance for a brand new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. Since 1978, Motability has provided over three million cars, scooters and powered wheelchairs, and today over 600,000 disabled people and their families enjoy the benefits that the Motability Scheme offers.

Motability needed an adaptive and co-operative facilities management company that could work alongside its fit-out contractor on its office rebuild and fit-out project. Active was the perfect fit for the job.

The Solution

Using comprehensive move management skills, including IT decommissioning, recommissioning and auditing, along with IT cable management and server moves Active were the perfect fit for the job. Crate and material hire, as well as crate churn between buildings, was also a priority. Active installed new furniture, recycled the old and relocated other furniture items and company safes.

Over a two-year programme, Active moved over 1,200 staff. Not only that, by utilising dedicated swing spaces to relocate staff around the buildings, Active created two completely clear floors for Motability.
